When families choose to adopt and not shop, everyone wins. The adoption fee you pay to NWAC helps cover some of the costs associated with your pet’s rescue, including medical care, food, and other supplies. Donations offset the rest of our expenses caring for the animals.

Because our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is run exclusively by volunteers, your donations go directly to the animals! Nike, Columbia Sportswear, and many other companies match their employees’ donations to nonprofits like NWAC, sometimes by as much as 200 percent! Talk to your employer’s human resources department to see if this benefit is available.

All NWAC pets are cared for in our foster volunteers’ loving homes. Join us as a foster volunteer or find out about other fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities: event management, grant writing, transportation, social media, photography, and so much more.

Your supply donations of pet foods, litter, litter boxes, bottles, treats, toys and more help keep our rescue running! Check out NWAC’s Amazon wishlist and ship us our most-needed supplies directly. Our cats and dogs will greatly appreciate your kind gesture.

Love Chewy as much as we do? Next time you’re shopping for pet supplies, please consider sending NWAC some much-needed food, medicine, cat scratchers, dog leashes, or other items. They’ll keep our rescued pets — like Pallas and Atticus, above — healthy and happy in their foster homes.

Have some new or gently used items you’d like to unload? We accept pet food, litter, bedding, leashes, collars, prescription medications, and a lot more. Please let us know what you have and we’ll tell you if we can take it off your hands; if we can’t use it, we’ll try to give it to a shelter or rescue that can.
